1. When we snap shots of unscripted moments, they often become the photos people say they treasure the most: When families are responding to one another in unguarded moments, the photos look less like a staged event and more like captured pieces of your real life.

2.Why laughter, leaning, glances and pauses matter: Small and unscripted moments tell a much fuller story than the perfect static pose ever could. At a glance, they show comfort, affection and familiarity in a way that even words can't.

3.How to create space for these moments without forcing them: We like to stay away from over-directing. It can make people feel watched and evaluated, which rarely leads to a wonderful picture. All we need is your trust that we will capture those moments-- you just go ahead and live them. :) When we slow the pace, we hope to give clients a moment to forget about the camera and settle into a moment just their own.

4.Why kids, couples and families relax faster when not over-directed: Where there is freedom to move, talk and respond to one another, connection takes over-- and that's when we find the most meaningful images are captured.
